Living vicariously through myself

Thally, better known by their nom-de-plume 'ares to cat' in honor of their cat Axel, did not consent to being an artist. It was the inevitable consequence of being raised as an observant, ruminating child in the isolating environment of rural Greece. Their portraits and sketches serve as a grotesque, yet self-reflecting, view of reality, stemming from their troubling experiences in childhood and their hospital trips in adulthood.

Art wasn't just an escape from an allistic community and what seemed like the only way to self-expression for such a reserved teenager. Art became the driving force for exploring the world by the mere admiration for it, visually and beyond. Thally believes that artistic identity is something intrinsic to a conscious creature, from the very moment of birth to the very second before death. And so they hope to convey this spirit to all the venues they touch, from science and technology to poetry and philosophy.
